Network Gateway - NGW
The Aepona Network Gateway (NGW) provides a network abstraction layer that sits horizontally across network platforms such as switches, messaging systems, charging/rating systems and HLRs, and provides a common, standardised set of northbound APIs that greatly simplify the process of creating and rolling out services across multiple network protocols and platforms from different vendors. Services that are developed using these APIs are therefore network-agnostic, meaning that the same services can be deployed across fixed and mobile networks, as well as within and between circuit-switched "legacy" networks and packet-based IP / IMS networks.

Network abstraction is the hard part that Aepona has spent years investing in and one that differentiates them from IT vendors.
The network gateway connects to a multitude of network platforms from a variety of vendors, using a wide variety of interfaces (SS7, SIP, and specialised IP based interfaces) and hiding the complexity of these from the application service layer.
