Valista and HP are working together to deploy Valista’s payments technology on the HP-UX platform in the delivery of a mobile commerce platform to customers worldwide. The delivery has been tuned to give optimal performance and scalability on HP hardware, guaranteeing support for thousands of merchants and millions of subscribers. The team’s biggest deployment was at NTT DoCoMo. Valista’s technology is providing secure mobile payment services to DoCoMo’s millions of subscribers. The ValistaPlus 4 payments module was subject to stringent tests by HP Japan to ensure conformance with local requirements and HP worked with Japanese integrators to develop local applications supported by it. The platform is being deployed as part of an overall delivery incorporating mobile payments, messaging, a high availability database and 3rd party mobile solutions.
Valista is also one of HP’s Next Generation Billing Partners enabling m-payments. A key HP initiative in this space is HP's Content Mediation and Charging (CMC) for Next Generation Networks (NGNs). This solution delivers a portfolio approach to providing a comprehensive 3G infrastructure for data control point management, real-time mediation, event / content charging, m-payments, m-wallet, content / event rating, balance management, and content provider settlements. The solution utilizes HP’s CMC reference architecture, which ensures seamless integration with, and leveraging of, the operator's existing infrastructure.
