Valista Marketing Director Named as Finalist in 3rd Annual StevieŽ Awards for Women in Business

Stevie Award Winners to Be Announced in New York in March 2007

SAN MATEO, USA and DUBLIN, IRELAND — 10th january 2007– Valista (www.valista.com), the leading provider of software and managed services that automate the digital commerce process for merchandizing, payments and settlement, today announced that its Head of Marketing, Evanna Kearins, has been named as a Finalist today in two categories in The 3rd annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. The two categories are ‘Best Executive – Non-Services Businesses – up to 100 Employees’ and ‘Best Executive in EMEA’. Nicknamed ‘the Stevies’ for the Greek word “crowned,” winners will be announced during a gala event in New York in March. Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S. and several other countries are expected to attend.

The other nominees in the ‘Best Executive – Non-Services Businesses – up to 100 Employees’ include female entrepreneurs from Premier Promotional Products (Virginia, USA), Signature Homestyles (Illinois, USA) and VS Publishing Company (Florida, USA). In the ‘Best Executive in EMEA’ category, there are three nominees in total including executives from Gulf Bank in Kuwait and Research In Motion (RIM) in the UK.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run – worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars.” (New York Post, April 27, 2005).

More than 600 entries were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Best Executive, Best Entrepreneur, and Best Community Involvement Program. Evanna is a Finalist in the categories of ‘Best Executive in EMEA’ and ‘Best Executive – Non-Services Businesses – up to 100 Employees’.

Evanna is Head of Marketing at Valista with responsibility for developing the company’s global marketing communications strategy, public and analyst relations. Prior to Valista, Evanna was Director of Marketing at Network365, a leading provider of a comprehensive payments and service delivery platforms. Since the merger of Network365 and iPIN, Valista has emerged as the leading provider of merchandizing, payments and settlement solutions. Before joining Network365, Evanna held the positions of International PR Manager at Baltimore Technologies, an e-security company and Marketing Executive at Enterprise Ireland. In March 2000, Evanna authored a book called ‘RENT – The Secret World of Male Prostitution in Dublin’. Evanna also worked as Senior News Reporter, Duty Editor and News reader with Today FM, a leading national Irish radio station. Evanna holds a first class honors Masters Degree in Journalism and a First Class Honors Degree in Communications from Dublin City University.

Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging.

Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs select Stevie Award winners from among the Finalists during final judging. The elegant Stevie trophy was designed by R. S. Owens, the same company that makes the Oscar and the Emmy.
