Valista Poised for Growth in All Major Markets

Valista Appoints International COO, Hires VP of International Sales and Expands North American Sales and Operations Team

DUBLIN, IRELAND and SAN MATEO, Calif — October 2, 2007 – Valista (www.valista.com), the leading provider of merchandizing, payments and settlement solutions accelerating and automating digital commerce, today announced the appointments of Craig McDonald as Chief Operating Officer and John Meldrum as Vice President of International Sales. Valista also announced the expansion of its North American team with the addition of Troy Walker as Director of Services, North America and James Turner as Senior Director of Sales, North America. This announcement follows the expansion of the company’s sales team within Europe and Asia in early 2007.

Craig McDonald, who played a key role in Valista’s growth within the U.S. market as Vice President of Business Development, North America, will now be responsible for global field operations for the company. Valista will utilize his market expertise to capitalize on emerging global opportunities within the mobile, broadband, and media and entertainment industries. He will be supported by John Meldrum, Vice President of International Sales. Meldrum has over 20 years experience in major corporations and high-growth, high-technology companies and will be responsible for Valista’s sales operations in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Japan.

Valista’s North America sales and operations team has been expanded to include two key positions. Troy Walker will serve as Valista’s Director of Services and be responsible for the technology delivery and customer support for the North American customer base. Walker brings over 15 years of industry experience working with a number of North American mobile operators. James Turner will fill the role of Senior Director of Sales for Valista North America and will help drive sales in the region within the mobile market sector. Turner has a wealth of sales experience within the telecommunications industry having worked for companies such as Rian Partners, Metasolv, Nortel Networks and Lucent.
