Senior QA Engineers
Reporting to: QA Manager
Location: Colombo
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Create, maintain and review QA project artifacts including Test Cases, Test Plans and Test Scripts
- Develop and execute automated test suites using Java/ JUnit
- Document and manage product defects and prepare defect statistics for management
- Develop and execute performance and scalability tests using open source tools
- Establish close working relationships with development teams
- Assist/guide QA Engineers
These are the main elements of the job. However you may be expected to undertake tasks outside of this job description and to use your own initiative to develop the role
Experience & Qualifications:
- BSc. in Computer Science or Software related discipline or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum of 2 years experience as Senior QA engineer responsible for test design and execution in a automated test environment
- Experience in designing and creating test automation suits using Java, JUnit, or any other open source technologies
- Experience in following methodologies, tools, technologies is a must:
- Agile software development
- Test design and planning
- QA Processes including Defect management, Release management and Configuration management
- Automation test suite design
- Java and Junit
- WebLogic or JBoss
- Oracle, MS-SQL or MySQL

- Ability to grasp business domain technical details quickly and be productive in short period of time
- Ability to work with minimum supervision to successful completion of assigned duties
- Ability to work with both centralised and distributed teams effectively
